Crafting for a Cause
ALL MONTH LONG: Our June Crafting for a Cause will be repairing dog beds for Secondhand Mutts, a local dog shelter. This will be an ongoing project for the entire month(and hopefully will continue for the rest of the summer). Simple sewing is the only skill needed. It doesn’t have to be perfect, beginners welcome to help! If you can donate some time, please contact craftygoodnesscleveland@yahoo.com or stop in to pick up a few to mend at home. Drop In & Craft
EVERY THURSDAY: Now that school is out, there is lots of time to craft! Stop in anytime between noon and 7 each Thursday to have fun and learn something new. Many projects for all ages, each only $5. Painting, sewing, jewelry making and more! No registration required.
Project Martha
THURSDAY, JUNE 21st 7-9 pm: Each month we will be selecting a project from Martha Stewart’s Encyclopedia of Crafts and making it ourselves! For June we will be making a string of origami patio lights, perfect for the upcoming hot summer nights. The cost will be $10, and all materials will be included. Sidewalk Sale
THURSDAY, JUNE 28th and FRIDAY, JUNE 29th 12-7 pm: The city of Lakewood is holding a street sale, and CG is going to be part of it! Stop by and check out all the deals along Madison Avenue. CG will be offering crafting supplies and more.
Madison Avenue Luau
SATURDAY, JUNE 30th 12-7 pm: Things are heating up on Madison, join us for a Luau! All visitors will receive a free gift just for stopping by. There will also be drinks and snacks, plus crafting all day long. Children can paint their own tropical themed bank, while the adults will make a fun pair of summer earrings. The cost of each craft is only $5, no registration required.

1. Wine Glass/Beer Stein Etching
Create a total of 4 glasses and personalize them by chemically etching them! Choose from monograms, designs & more. You will also create a set of matching beaded charms. Class length approx. 2 hours. Adult only. $40

Bring a friend and you will each create 5 one of a kind masterpieces to keep for you or give as gifts. You will be using an assortment of decorative papers, including maps, vintage books & more. Choose from ribbon or chain necklaces. Class length approx. 2 hours. Ages 8 and up. $40 for 2

2. Glass Fusing
Create 5-7 fused glass masterpieces & become the envy of your non-crafty friends! Choose from rings, pendants, pins or a combination of all three. Class is great for an intermediate crafting level as we will be cutting and grinding glass. If you have already taken it once before, you can concentrate on more intricate, exact cuts the second time around! Items will be fired off site and returned within 2 weeks. Class length approx. 2 hours. Adult only. $40

3. Domino Pendant & Jewelry Box
Bring a friend and create a domino pendant necklace and jewelry box! You will embellish the box with paint and line with felt. The necklace will be embellished with a variety of decorative papers with ribbon chain. Class length approx. 1.5 hours. Great kids class, ages 5 and up. $40 for 2

Fiber Arts
1. Beginning Knitting
It hopefully won’t be cold for much longer, but you still might need a scarf/cowl to keep you warm! Learn how to cast on, garter stitch and cast off. We will be using large needles and thick yarn so your results will be fast. Those who catch on quickly can also learn twisted drop stitch and purling. May take two sessions, first class will be 2 hours and then return for another session to finish if necessary. Adult only. $40

1. Lined Tote Bag/Purse
Create a lined tote bag or purse with matching wallet using a sewing machine. Choose from a variety of fun fabrics to create a one of a kind accessory. This is a one on one class and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. $40

Zentangle
NOT ELIGIBLE FOR GROUPON
1. Beginning Zentangle
Special guest teachers Tangled River Crafts will introduce the basics of Zentangle. A Zentangle is a form of artistic meditation that uses repetitive patterns to create images. A zentangle is usually done in black and white and the patterns have a rhythm. The ideal is to let yourself be carried away by the creative process and allow the design to grow organically. Adult only. $35

2. Ceramic Tile Zentangle
If you have already taken a beginning Zentangle class, this is the next step: incorporating it into functional art! Guest teachers Tangled River Crafts will provide all materials and the result will be a gorgeous tile to decorate your home. $35
